Linnman Gallery

The second exhibition with photographer Alvreten just opened at Linnman Gallery. Linnman is an exclusive boutique and gallery in Tändständsområdet, Jönköping, and it is an amazing space. Me and Anna had the opportunity to lend it for our art experiment Action Pollock two years ago, when it was not yet renovated and inhibited by the gallery.

Alvreten here showcases photos of women and flowers - minimizing them to female forms = a dedication to the female body. On the other wall is what feels like hundreds of picture of people from Jönköping, supposedly locally famous people who will be noted in the future. 

To be honest I went to see the exhibition for the picture of Angelica (the stripey girl in the third picture) and other than that, it didn’t give me much. I found myself a number of Artlover and disappeared into an interview with Annika von Hausswolf instead - so much more interesting on all levels. There is an artist whose subjects in matter of feminitity is much more interesting.
